Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Koticha Android application ("the app"), provided by PsyByte Labs ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Koticha, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who can use Koticha

Koticha is intended for use by teachers and school staff to record, calculate, and export academic assessment data for their own classes. You may use the app on any Android device you own or are authorized to use, at no cost.

Your data and content

Any class, student, subject, or score information you enter into Koticha ("your content") belongs to you. Koticha stores this content locally on your device - we do not host, back up, or have access to it, and we make no claim of ownership over it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping your device secure, since your content is only ever stored there.

Because your content lives only on your device, uninstalling the app, losing the device, or resetting it will permanently delete that data unless you have exported and separately backed up a copy yourself.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use the app to store or process data you are not authorized to hold.
• Redistribute or resell the app outside of official distribution channels such as Google Play.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

No warranty

Koticha is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. While we design Koticha to compute totals and rankings accurately, you remain responsible for reviewing exported performance sheets before relying on them for official school records.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PsyByte Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app - including loss of data stored locally on your device.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may update Koticha over time, including adding, changing, or removing features described on this website. We may also update these terms; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination

You may stop using Koticha at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any feature of it at our discretion, with reasonable notice communicated via Google Play where practical.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, unless otherwise required by the law of your jurisdiction.
